I Just Don't Get It?

I am a member of several Horror forums on the net, and there are some films that I just don't get all the love that are given them. Some of these are ok, but people just gush about these films endlessly, and I just don't get it! I have given these films several viewings and they just don't get better. Here are some posters for a the top culprits in my book......if you love them, sorry, I can't share the love!

  1. I absolutely love April Fool's Day. Even the cinematography in that film is a standout. Terror Train is pretty suspenseful at times, and I like the characters. Night School has some good moments, and Rachel Ward. I'm not the biggest fan of Slumber Party Massacre, but in retrospect the movie is kinda funny. And New Year's Evil is a complete hoot. Dig the Bruce Jenner-like killer!

I will agree on this... Horror fans are pretty forgiving creatures!

  2. TERROR TRAIN is the only one here I think is a really good movie. One of the best slashers in my book. NEW YEARS EVIL has a lot of potential, but squanders it. Some good scenes, though. The trailer is far better than the movie.

  3. I knew that this would be a pretty polarizing post, and like I said, I respect everyone's opinions. Meep, I am just one of the people that can't stand the "cheat" aspect of AFD, and Venom, TT is the best outta the bunch!

  4. I totally understand that. Though the name of the movie is April Fool's Day! It TOTALLY lives up to title. Most movies don't.

Plus I love that by 1986, it dared to do something different with the slasher genre instead of going to the same place by the end like every other film. I will always adore that movie.

  6. No Snk, I can't stand SPM 2, it is so goofy, I can't bear to sit through it! Terror Eyes is the same film as Night School, so you probably know it under that title? Thanks for reading the blog, bro!
